Greetings from Big Bear!

The Events and Activities are below. The most important thing to mention is the BIKE RACES starts tomorrow. That being said, unless you are in the bike race; have someone you know in the race or one of the businesses benefiting from the race then most of us avoid driving at all costs. They will be using Hwy. 18 to the 330 and going all over Big Bear Valley. Some streets will be blocked off. Bicyclist are allowed to have a whole lane when we have 4 lanes however when we only have 2 lanes there are bicyclist that are riding in the middle of the lane and making cars have to go in to the opposing lane to get past them. Be careful out there and have patience if you are coming to Big Bear this weekend.

The weather has been hot for me but anytime it is over 70 outside I am hot. High 80’s during the day and low 70’s when sun goes down. Cooler by the lake after sun down. The sun is closer here, bring sunblock. We burn within 5 minutes of being outside.

I received my Resort & Second-Home Certification. I will let you know more about what that means during the week.

Living in Big Bear, if you are aware, you will notice all the beauty surrounding us during the week. Flocks of pelicans were flying over my house a couple days ago in the beautiful sky. I have heard that we have 300+ days of blue skies per year.
